DEMONSTRATIONS IN CONTEXT
Letter published in The Guardian
15 February 2001
The demonstrations in Croatia must be looked at in context (Report, February 12). Croats are angry nothing is being done to prosecute the Serbs responsible for the slaughter of 15,000 Croats. The International War Crimes Tribunal has brazenly ignored most of these massacres, preferring to focus on incomparably lesser crimes against Serbs to appease the new Yugoslav government.
